Vaccine Safety and Effectiveness On November 2, 2021, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) reviewed clinical trial data showing that the Pfizer-BioNTech (“Pfizer”) vaccine is safe and effective in preventing COVID-19 in children aged 5 to 11 years old.
