Jacinda Ardern’s approval rating slips again in new poll
A new political poll shows Jacinda Ardern’s approval ratings have fallen again, her lowest result since ratings were first measured in October 2019.
A group of eligible voters were asked whether they approved or disapproved of Ardern’s handling of his job as prime minister, in a new public poll from 1News Kantar.
Shallow headlines proclaim the end of Jacinda.
Oh good? The results actually show that despite having the toughest 2 years ever, Jacinda still has 52% support for the work she does while Luxon only gets 42% for doing nothing.
Jacinda’s support has taken a hit, but I suspect it has more to do with her ugly followings and the proxification of political support via social media.
Ex-Labour MP Darien Fenton slammed for tweet about pregnant Kiwi reporter who was denied MIQ spot
Former Labor MP Darien Fenton has come under fire for a tweet about a pregnant Kiwi journalist who was refused a place at MIQ.
Jacinda doesn’t lose support, her tribal savage defenders do!
Social media algorithms have enabled easily manipulated toxicity of debate. A symphony of moist truths all screaming for attention and no one listening. Activists from Woke Identity Politics seized the joy of having no gatekeepers to express how much they hate white men, while Nazis from Incel seized the joy of having no gatekeepers to express how much they hate others.
The awakened millennial culture sees macro-violence as coming from micro-aggressions and piously controls these micro-aggressions with virtue signaling mantras of purity.
Alt Right Incel Nazis see the persecution of white people and create a bullshit replacement narrative to justify their helplessness and feed this resentment online.
Most people are on social media and most people have a woke activist or Qanon fanatic in their social media feed shouting their feverish truths. While these activists certainly think they are speaking truth to power by endlessly calling on people to speak out against woke mantras or fake news against Trump’s lies, to everyone else they are simply toxic.
People stop seeing the political party and only see the activist and in the end proxification means the activist becomes the proxy representation of the Party, and since people have negative feelings towards the proxy, they turn away party.
Voters don’t vote on politics, they vote on who resented them on social media!
The political is the personal now means that what hurts me personally becomes political.
Previously, social media activists could only clash at protests or through letters to the editor or talk radio. There were interaction constraints but with social media there aren’t and it turns out that the freedom to insult and dehumanize others is more addictive than nicotine, alcohol and meth combined .
Awakening has become a puritanical religion without any beauty – it’s not so much the signal of personal virtue, we’re all assholes sometimes, it’s the weaponization by algorithms that makes it so dangerous and damaging.
The danger of identity politics is that it intellectually locks people into defining the world solely through their skin color, genitals or sexual orientation – it also becomes subjectively toxic and tribal where the only solidarity is with others. other people who share skin color or genital or sex organs. guidance – without shared truths and values, the 1% and their 9% enablers continue to divide the rest of us at 90%.
The pure doctrine of the temple divides and alienates. Broadchurch universals build solidarity.
Twitter’s outrage is woke justice porn for the middle classes. A puritanical shave where the self-elected morality police publicly blame and nullify anyone for not using the language protocols of the conclave.
National relies on wealthy white New Zealanders who own more than one property, where Labor will find support again is when Omicron really hits us.
When tens of thousands of people are sick, the Kiwis will understand why Jacinda was so careful and they will be grateful.
